Mesker Park Zoo Policies
Save your receipt! The cost of daily admission can be applied to the same-day purchase of a zoo membership. Stop by the membership office by 4pm and get zoo access 365 days a year!
Please be respectful of our animals, grounds, and other zoo guests.
Anyone deemed to be disruptive or dangerous will be escorted off of zoo grounds.
Please do not litter. It can harm animals and fines can be imposed. Please use the proper containers to dispose of waste.
The Discovery Center closes at 4:15pm and the Kley Building closes at 4:30pm daily.
All visitors must exit zoo grounds by 5pm.
Please refrain from bringing the following items on zoo grounds:
- Animals (service dogs are allowed in permitted areas) *See below*
- Coolers
- Outside Food
- Outside Drinks (water is allowed)
- Bikes
- Roller blades or skates
- Skateboards

In the interest of safety for our animals and yours, this area and others with this sign posted are strictly off limits to service animals. We thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Restricted areas are as follows:
- Giraffe Feed area
- African Rift (via double doors to view tortoises and sitatunga)
- Penguin Feed area
- Budgie Aviary
- Contact Yard
Service animals can be excluded from areas in a zoo where the animals on exhibit are the natural prey or the natural predator of dogs, where the presence of a dog would be disruptive, causing the animals to behave aggressively or become agitated.
