    Penguin Feeding: A Delightful Experience

    TOKENS: 5 per feeding
    TIMES: 11am, 12pm, 1pm, & 2pm daily while supplies lasts

    Join us for the delightful Penguin Feeding and get an up-close look at these charming birds. Meet the penguins and feed them their favorite snack as zookeepers share fascinating facts about their habits and habitats. This interactive experience is perfect for all ages, offering a chance to learn more about these playful creatures while enjoying their antics. Penguin Feeding times are scheduled several times a day, so be sure to check the times and plan your visit accordingly.

    Budgie Walkabout: A Colorful Encounter

    TIMES: Open Seasonally 10am – 4pm
    (nighttime temps above 50 degrees)

    Step into a world of color at the Budgie Walkabout, where you can walk among a flock of friendly budgerigars native to Australia. These small, vibrant birds are eager to interact, and you can even feed them with special birdseed sticks available for purchase. The Budgie Walkabout is an immersive experience that delights visitors of all ages, offering countless photo opportunities and a deeper connection with nature.

    Giraffe Feeding: Reach New Heights

    TOKENS: 4 per person per feeding
    TIMES: 11am – 3pm daily while supplies last

    One of the most popular zoo amenities and attractions is our Giraffe Feeding. For just a couple of tokens, get eye-to-eye with these gentle giants and offer them a tasty treat. This unique experience allows you to appreciate the sheer size and grace of giraffes while learning about their diets and behaviors. Giraffe Feeding sessions are available twice a day, making it easy to fit this unforgettable encounter into your visit.

    Giraffe feedings are weather dependent. Check front entry signage for information each day.

    Engelbrecht Carousel Rides: Whimsical Fun

    TOKENS: 2 per person per ride
    TIMES: 10am – 4pm daily

This beautifully crafted carousel features a variety of whimsical animals, providing a nostalgic and fun experience for visitors of all ages. The Engelbrecht Carousel is a beloved part of our zoo attractions, perfect for creating lasting memories. We do have 1 Handicapped Accessible Chariot.

    Zoo Tram: Convenient Exploration

    TOKENS: 2 per person (Zoo Members ride free)
    TIMES: All Day

    Explore Mesker Park Zoo with ease by hopping on our Zoo Tram, which is handicap accessible. This convenient mode of transportation allows you to see all the major zoo amenities and attractions without the need for extensive walking. The tram offers narrated tours, providing interesting insights into the zoo’s animals and exhibits. It’s an excellent option for families with young children or anyone looking to maximize their zoo experience comfortably.

    Paddleboats: Relaxing on the Water

    TOKENS: 3 per rider, 30-minute ride
    TIMES: Open Memorial day to Labor Day 10am – 4pm (weather permitting)

    For a serene and scenic adventure, try our paddleboats on the zoo’s tranquil lake. This leisurely activity offers a unique perspective of the zoo, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of nature from the water. Paddleboats are a fun and relaxing way to take a break from the excitement of the zoo while still enjoying the outdoors. Perfect for couples, families, or solo visitors, paddleboating is a refreshing addition to your day.

Rainforest Grill: A Culinary Adventure

Open 7 Days a Week • 10am – 4pm

The Rainforest Grill is the perfect way to cool off on warm summer days! Step inside and relax in the A/C in our dining room with an ice cold Coca-Cola, Dippin’ Dots, or Forest Freeze. After exploring the hills of Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden, you’ve surely worked up an appetite. Try the kid favorite chicken tenders, cheeseburger, pizza, or grilled cheese, all made fresh to order. Healthy options include salads, fruit cups, and deli sandwiches, and if you’re looking for a quick grab and go snack, popcorn, soft pretzels, nachos, or French fries are just a few of the many snack offerings available at the Rainforest Grill. For adults, we also offer a variety of alcoholic beverages which can be consumed as you explore zoo grounds.

Additional Amenities: Convenience & Comfort

Mesker Park Zoo is committed to ensuring your visit is as comfortable and convenient as possible with a range of essential amenities. Restrooms are strategically located throughout the zoo, ensuring easy access wherever you are. For families with young children, our Nursing Station provides a private and comfortable space for feeding and caring for your little ones. Stay hydrated with water fountains placed around the zoo, and if you need a quick snack or drink, vending machines are available at various points seasonally. An ATM is located near the entrance for your convenience. Should you require medical assistance, First Aid can be found at Guest Services at the main entrance and at small stations throughout the zoo. Additionally, if you happen to lose or find an item, our Lost & Found is located in the Guest Services Office at the main entrance. These amenities are designed to enhance your experience, allowing you to focus on enjoying the fantastic zoo attractions and making lasting memories.

KultureCity Sensory Bags

KultureCity Sensory bags are available for checkout at the front gate. Sensory bags include various items to help those who may have sensory needs. Items include: Sound dampening headphones, various fidget devices, a lanyard, a needs card. A weighted lap blanket is also available upon request. This service is available free of charge. Simply submit your Photo ID to the front gate to check out a bag. Your ID will be returned to you once the bag is returned to the front gate.
