Your preferred date will be approved for your group visit unless we receive an overwhelming number of group reservations for that date. In that case, we will book your alternate date. Program requests must be approved based on availability, and will be approved via a confirmation email.

PAID staff chaperones – teachers, teaching aides, & bus drivers – are not charged zoo admission or program fees – up to 1 chaperone for every 10 children. Tokens for Attractions

Tram

Tokens are $1 each, and 2 are required per attraction. Tram is $2 per person for all day. Lunch prices vary, and an order form and contact for questions is available on the website under “Group Reservations”.

To get more details about our program options, see our Program Menu under “Educational Resources” on our website. Programs range 20-40 min. on average, and cost $2/person. Programs should be booked at least 2 weeks in advance, and are subject to availability. $50 minimum required for all programs.

Rules / Policies

Chaperones*

Our group will have one adult staff or volunteer chaperone per every 10 children. Chaperones will stay with children at all times, and be informed to understand and model zoo rules & expectations.

Payments*

I understand that groups must pay upon arrival with one form of payment for the entire group to get the group rate. Paid staff chaperones are free – UP TO the required ratio 1:10 children. Adult / volunteer chaperones must pay, but they get the group discount rate when paying in the same transaction as the group. Those paying separately will be charged full admission. Please be sure your parent/ volunteer chaperones know the conditions of getting the group rate.

Discounts*

I understand that passes, coupons, or other promotions DO NOT APPLY to the group rate and that general admission is always free for Zoo Members. I agree to provide photocopies of membership cards for any Zoo Members in my group in order to receive free admission for those individuals.

Food*

I understand that outside food and drinks are generally not permitted on zoo grounds. Lunch is available for purchase on-site at the Rainforest Gril, and arrangements must be made with the Grill in advance for large groups. Picnics are allowed in the surrounding Mesker Park. picnic shelters and parking lot areas. The Mesker Park picnic shelter across the street from the Zoo is free and first come/ served. The nearby screened picnic shelter at Mesker Park is within walking distance, and rented for $110 through the Parks Dept.
