Outreach Programs At Mesker Park Zoo

A staff educator will be in touch to confirm availability.

Our normal operating business hours are 9am-5pm. Requests outside of those hours require a $10/hr. surcharge.

Outreach programs normally range between 30 -60 min., or up to 3 hours for events.

All children under 18 years of age. Estimate only.

Total number of adults attending program. Estimate only.

1 adult chaperone is required for every 10 children.

Programs should be booked at least 2 weeks in advance, and are subject to availability. Program fees are based on estimated attendance, and cannot be adjusted the day of the program. Adults are not charged program fees for youth programs. Mileage fees may apply 20 miles or more away from the zoo.

An invoice will be provided automatically within 3 business days of your registration, and will be sent via an email confirmation. Schools are automatically approved for use of purchase orders. Prior approval is required for other group types.

Our group will have one chaperone per every 10 children. Chaperones will stay with children at all times during the program, and be informed to understand and model zoo rules & expectations. Staff and adult chaperones are not charged for youth programming, but non-staff chaperones are charged for family and event programming.

I understand that payment is due before or at the program and must be paid with one form of payment. The program fee is considered a flat fee based on your estimated attendance, and cannot be adjusted on the day of the program for additions or absences. Paynents should be made to Evansville Zoological Society.

I understand that for the safety of both animals and people, program animals cannot be shown or touched in areas where food is present in close proximity, or where other animals are present. Touching is not allowed for all animals.

I understand that a requested program is not guaranteed until I receive a confirmation email from the Education Department.
